Describes the functioning of the urine-diversion dehydrating (UDD) toilet. This toilet has been installed in May 2006 and helps to raise awareness about possibilities of waterless sanitation with the ultimate aim to recycle nutrients back to the land in accordance with the ecological sanitation (ecosan) approach.
